GotGame: Lost Planet 3 takes place on E.D.N. III, the same planet from the first game. You play as Jim, a sort of everyman character who is working on the planet to provide a better life for his family. The story is actually very well told and aside from a few less than stellar voice actors, its convincing. I found myself actually starting to care about Jims fate, and didnt feel that the story being told around and about him was tacked on.

| The Lost Planet 3 Soundtrack Review

I haven't played Lost Planet 3, and nor do I ever really intend to. Aside from getting less-than-favorable reviews, the game just doesn't sound like my cup of darjeeling. The only thing I really knew about the game when I received the soundtrack was that it was a sci-fi set game with planetary travel and aliens. So of course, I expected the soundtrack to emulate a sci-fi feel. Since its composer was the illustrious Jack Wall, I expected something akin to what he did for Mass Effect 2. I could not have been more wrong, and the soundtrack has been an extremely welcome surprise.

GCM - "Ive always enjoyed the fast paced nature of the Lost Planet franchise. While a lot of my friends hated the freeze to death mechanic of the original game, I welcomed the challenge."

GCM - "Ive always been on the fence when it comes to Capcoms Lost Planet franchise. I enjoy the concept and the cool (pun intended) alien settings, but I also dislike games that rely on some arbitrary timer to add unwanted and unneeded tension to the experience."

gamrReview's Chris Matulich: "It feels as though a foundation for a true sandbox styled Lost Planet was laid with great skill and bolstered by a decent array of design visions, yet the game's execution as a whole falls flat."
